CHEMICAL LABELS

All chemical containers are required to have a label with the complete chemical name, no abbreviations or formulas are allowed.  The hazards associated with the material must also be listed on the label.

So, if you transfer chemicals from a large container to a smaller one, you must label the new container with the full name and list the hazards.

To make this job easier, the EH&S office has made some labels that you can print. You will need sheets of labels to print.   These labels are designed to be printed on Avery brand #5264 Laser Shipping Labels.  For other chemicals and other sizes, please contact the EH&S Office.
